New Zealand Food Safety has issued the updated Food Notice: Food Service and Food Retail Business Food Control Plan templates issued under section 39 and made changes to the Simply Safe and Suitable Food Control Plan template.

The changes enable the manufacture of pre-cooked, chilled (with a shelf life of no more than 5 days) and frozen meals direct to consumer and include updates to the following cards:
Thoroughly cooking food [PDF, 254 KB]
Cooling and freezing your food [PDF, 390 KB]
Transporting food [PDF, 255 KB]
Packaging and labelling your food [PDF, 232 KB]
Operators who wish to add the pre-cooked chilled or frozen meals to their scope can replace the individual cards or re-print the complete SSS plan which has been updated to v39-00006. Operators who do not want to add those activities to their scope do not need to update their template.
